Lungo l'argine del Tronto, sul tracciato dell'antico perimetro cittadino, completamente rivestita di travertino a 30 metri da Porta Tufilla (1552-1555) e a 4 dal "Ponte Nuovo" eretto nel 1910... Ecco trionfante l'ultima nuova Torre della Città di Ascoli: Porta Sussopra! ;-)

Alle ore 19 circa il carro parte da Piccianello con la Madonna in trono e inizia la lunghissima sfilata che lo porterà nel centro cittadino verso le ore 22,00 per eseguire il rituale dei "TRE GIRI" per poi giungere in piazza verso le 22 e 30 per la "STRAZZATA" parola del nostro gergo che significa, strappo, distruzione, si perchè il carro che è di cartapesta viene realizzato ogni anno e distrutto come da rito che vuole il pezzo conquistato un elemento che porterà fortuna e ricchezza nella casa in cui verrà portato.
